It’s a new situation for Mike Sorrentino -- fatherhood.
The “Jersey Shore” star and his wife, Lauren Pesce, announced the birth of their first child Thursday in Instagram posts. Sorrentino, 38, nicknamed “The Situation,” posted a photo of Romeo Reign Sorrentino, along with a rocket emoji.
The boy was born Wednesday and weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 19 inches in length, People reported.
Sorrentino and Pesce announced the sex of the baby on social media in December. The couple created an Instagram account for their as-yet-unborn son at the time.
The boy’s Instagram account also heralded his arrival, showing a photo of the infant swaddled in a blanket adorned with his name.
Sorrentino and Pesce were married on Nov. 1, 2018, at The Legacy Castle in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, according to People. They announced Pesce’s pregnancy last November, E! Online reported.
They celebrated Romeo’s impending birth with a baby shower last month, the website reported.
