Zach John King

Zach John King fuses warm, personal storytelling with a contemporary country feel and a bit of alt-rock energy. The Georgia-born singer/songwriter found online success with songs like 2023's "Same Song, Different Dance" and "Wannabe Cowboy," which helped earn him a deal with Sony Music Nashville. He made his label debut in 2024 with the Wannabe Cowboy EP, followed in 2025 by "Slow Down" which was featured on an EP of the same name.

King grew up in the town of Fayetteville, Georgia, outside of Atlanta. His grandmother turned him onto country music at a young age and as he grew older his tastes grew to include rock bands like Switchfoot and the Police, as well as the classic soul of Otis Redding. His early songs tended more toward rock, but after moving to Nashville in 2021, King put country at the forefront, adding his own rock edge to songs that were both heartfelt and catchy. He debuted in 2023 with "Just Missed You," followed by "Same Song, Different Dance," which became something of a breakout on streaming platforms. As King picked up fans online, labels began to notice and in 2024 he landed a deal with Sony's Nashville arm. King's first EP, Wannabe Cowboy, appeared in May, followed later in the year by tracks like "See It for Myself" and "Hole in the Wall." A second EP, Slow Down, arrived in mid-2025 and featured popular standouts like "Lose You" and the title track. After "Life Behind Bars," a collaboration with Bayker Blankenship, he offered the solo track "Space." ~ Timothy Monger
