The United States Postal Service will not be delivering mail today (January 9th) to honor former President Jimmy Carter. Today, President Carter’s funeral will be held at the Washington National Cathedral before he is laid to rest in his home state of Georgia buried next to his wife Rosalynn Carter in the same town where they were born.
President Carters casket will begin at the Capitol around 9AM EST with the funeral starting at 10AM EST.
