You might not know his name just yet, but you definitely know his music. One of our artists coming to Jingle Jam on 12/6, Greylan James, won an ACM for “Song of the Year” in 2024 and that song was “Next Thing You Know.”

You’re thinking...Wait, that was Jordan Davis! You are correct, Jordan sang it, but he co-wrote it with Greylan James.

As a matter of fact, Greylan has his name on quite a few songs with some of the biggest names in country music. Some of those names that he’s written songs with include Kenny Chesney, Morgan Wallen, Cole Swindell, Chris Young, Chris Janson and more.

Greylan started learning how to play the guitar at 5-years old and was ranked one of the best guitar players under 21 by Guitar Center Magazine’s Brotherhood of the Guitar Top 100. He also appeared on “The Voice” in 2013.

So, what changed and put Greylan behind the mic instead of writing songs for others? According to Taste of Country, it was his publisher that encouraged him to give it a shot.

Greylan said, “He always encouraged me.” “He was like, ‘Let’s go cut some sides. I think this is a ‘You’ song.’ He would always take these songs and be thinking of Greylan James the artist.”

And here we are, you listening to “Water At A Wedding” on K92.3 and soon, watching Greylan perform it on our stage at our 5th Annual K92.3 Jingle Jam!

If you don’t have your tickets yet, GA are only $25 and VIP are close to being sold out. You can get tickets HERE, as well as additional info about the show.
