Morgan Evans Releases Music Video for “Over For You” After Divorce with Kelsea Ballerini is Final

Our hearts just break for this guy... Morgan Evans and his ex-wife, Kelsea Ballerini filed for divorce back in August of 2022. It was a surprise to a lot of fans as they hadn’t spoken of any hardships or anything on the topic previous to the divorce going public. Kelsea released a statement saying that she wanted her fans to hear the news from her...

“Friends, I’ve always tried my best to share my life with you in a real and vulnerable way, while also protecting layers of my personal life as they unfold. This is now public record so I wanted you to hear from me directly that I am going through a divorce.”

Morgan Evans also shared a statement that made it pretty clear the divorce was not his idea. “I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage. Kelsea and I are parting ways. I wish it were otherwise but sadly it’s not.” So when his song “Over For You” was released just a few weeks after the divorce became public, everyone knew it was his was of coping with her leaving. It’s heartbreaking!

The divorce was just finalized earlier in November and less than 2 weeks later, the music video for the song game out and it’s clear this is still a sensitive subject for Morgan.

Both of them are finding major success after divorce though. Morgan Evans song is being listened to all over the world and Kelsea Ballerini was just nominated for a Grammy award for a song that she released post divorce.
