Jacob Hackworth celebrates release of debut EP “What Took You So Long”

On Friday, October 23rd, Jingle Jam artist Jacob Hackworth, released his debut EP titled “What Took You So Long.”

The 7-song EP includes his self-titled radio single that you can hear on K92.3, “What Took You So Long.” All seven songs tell a story about a breakup that lead him to Nashville.

About his EP, Jacob said, “This EP is probably the most full-circle thing I’ve ever done. I definitely didn’t set out to write a project about a breakup—it just kind of came together naturally.”

He added, “There is something poetic about getting to tell that story as my first project as an artist, considering it was the reason for me moving here to chase my dream of being a recording artist. I also love the message underneath it all: sometimes the hardest things in your life happen the way they do for a reason. Zero out of 10 would recommend getting dumped, BUT it put me exactly where I was supposed to be.”

So, how’s he doing now, after the breakup and the release of his debut EP? He said, “I’m happier, healthier and living a life I dreamed about for a long time because of it.”

Not only is Jacob out on the road right now providing support for Tucker Wetmore, but he will also be on our stage at K92.3’s 5th annual Jingle Jam at Apopka Amphitheater on December 6th.

Joining Jacob on stage that night will be:

...And still one more artist to be announced soon!
