Tyler Farr & Other Artists React To Country Bar Shooting

11/08/2018 — It hasn’t even been a year since the country music world, and the rest of the United States, had to witness the horrific events of the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas where 58 died and more than 450 were injured. Now, we are dealing with yet another shooting within the country music community. On Wednesday 11/7/18, 12 were killed at a country-western bar in Thousand Oaks, California called Borderline Bar & Grill. It must be a college town because that was the theme for the bar that Wednesday night, “college-country night.” The shooter was Ian Long, who was later found to be  active Marine Corp that suffered from PTSD. Long was found dead in the bar by a suspected self-inflicted wound.

Many country artists took to social media to share their memories of performing in that bar, or their thoughts on the incident. Tyler Farr wrote “Love that bar and those people. Breaks my heart.”
