Greetings from Nashville! The 2018 CMA Awards have now come and went - but not without some amazing country music moments to remember the night! Here’s a shot from inside the arena:
The roar from the inside of the arena of excitement for Keith Urban taking home Entertainer of the Year was pretty awesome to witness. Everyone loves Keith and sometimes he’s not the front runner in these categories.
But - here’s a few photos from my trip of out and about in Nashville!
Tuesday night was the BBR CMA Pre-Party. BBR is the record label Jason Aldean is on and my mom snapped this photo of him from a few feet away:
All of the artists’ bars are so close to each other on lower Broadway:
And, my parents had an absolutely amazing time - my mom didn’t want the CMA Awards to end:
And how cool is this - Brad Paisley came into his private event on Tuesday to play us his new song “Bucked Off” and he casually strolled over to my parents to jokingly say “I need to learn this on guitar before tomorrow night.” Such a cool experience for them to have a superstar come up and talk to them! And then, we had a cameo on Brad’s Instagram video:
I hope you enjoyed keeping up with everything behind the scenes from Nashville on social media - it’s FREEZING and I hate cold weather - but, I’m ready to get back to Florida and be able to share some more all access experiences with you!
Kane Brown and his wife haven’t even been married for a month and they are already dealing with what every newlywed couple deals with... the “when are you having kids” question. Everyone deals with it, but usually that question is coming from family members like parents, grandparents, aunts, etc. You wouldn’t think your artist friend and old tour mate would be asking that but... Kane Brown and his wife have gotten that question more from Jason Aldean and Brittany Aldean than ANYONE ELSE.
Kane Brown tells Taste of Country that Brittany “keeps asking if we're having one.”
Kane did answer the question though and told Taste of Country that they aren’t in that headspace yet. In fact, he says they probably won't be ready for quite a while. "Kaetlyn wants to wait until she's, like, 30," he says of his 26-year-old wife, and adds that he's fine with that timeline. "I'm not complaining."
Brown says he'd eventually like to have "one or two kids," but for right now, the couple's two dogs are keeping them busy.
Kane Brown’s sophomore album was released on Friday 11/9 and he will head out on his first headlining arena tour at the beginning of 2019!
The CMA Awards may be this Wednesday, but Thomas Rhett is going above and beyond this week to make sure he can also incorporate giving back to the troops - and YOU’RE invited - it’s open to volunteers!
Crown Royal and Thomas Rhett are taking over downtown Nashville Tuesday, November 13 at the Bridgestone Arena. They’ll be recycling the well-known Crown Royal purple bag and using them for care packages for active duty service members overseas.“The whisky brand is on a mission to distribute 1 million care packages to military heroes and those impacted by unforeseen circumstances such as natural disasters by 2020. Adult volunteers 21+ are encouraged to stop by to fill iconic Crown Royal purple bags with uplifting notes, food and personal care items! All care packages this season will be donated to long-term Crown Royal partner, Packages From Home, a non-profit organization dedicated to sending care and comfort packages to deployed American military heroes overseas.” WHERE: Bridgestone Arena Plaza, 501 Broadway, Nashville, TN 37203 WHEN: Tuesday, November 13, 2018, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. CT
