Pennsylvania State Troopers said they saw Michael David Myers driving a gold GMC Envoy pulling the trailer around 11:30 a.m. speeding and with equipment violations, WJAC reported.

Police said he was going 78 mph in a 70 mph zone, WTAJ reported. Investigators did not list the specific equipment violations.

Troopers tried to pull over the vehicle, but Myers sped off. He got off the interstate and started swerving through traffic. He drove through a Lowe’s parking lot and back onto the road before hitting a curb, which caused the trailer to unhook.

Myers continued swerving through traffic until he hit a minivan, lost control and got stuck on a curb, police said.

Troopers said the three children and two adults inside the minivan were not injured.

Myers was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding; reckless endangerment; and driving while under the influence, police said.
