Ellen DeGeneres Considers Ending Daytime Talk Show

The New York Times released details of a recent interview with Ellen Degeneres where she revealed she has considered ending her daytime talk show. Her contract is apparently up in 2020, and I can’t imagine NBC wouldn’t renew her show.

Reports say DeGeneres’ wife Portia de Rossi is “in favor of her ending the show - but that her brother thinks she should keep going because people need positivity.”

"She gets mad when my brother tells me I can't stop," DeGeneres admits. Meanwhile, de Rossi counters, ”I just think she's such a brilliant actress and standup that it doesn't have to be this talk show for her creativity. There are other things she could tackle." No matter what happens, de Rossi adds, "I don't see the end of her show as her career ending."
