Paula Deen’s fans are sending butter wrappers to the companies who dropped the chef over her admission that she used the n-word once. The origami-folded wrappers are intended to show that fans are " sticking with Paula." John Schmitt, a hotel night auditor in Indianapolis, is the man behind the Facebook-fueled campaign. He says, "She made a mistake 20 years ago. We all make mistakes. I've said things I regret." Supporter Joyce Dixon added: “You have to ask yourself, 'If she was a man, would this happen? If she was from the North, would this happen?' And you know, I don't think it would."
