CASSELBERRY, Fla. – There was an increased security presence Thursday at South Seminole Middle School and Casselberry Elementary School after the middle school discovered a threatening post on its Instagram account, Seminole County Public Schools said.

Police announced Thursday the arrest of a 12-year-old girl for posting an online threat to shoot and place destructive devices at three Seminole County schools: Casselberry Elementary, South Seminole Middle School and Sterling Park Elementary.

The girl, who police did not identify, attends South Seminole Middle School.

Although the threat is considered non-credible, a security presence was increased at both schools because the campuses are adjacent to one another, school district spokesman Michael Lawrence said Wednesday in an emailed statement.

“One of the messages we want to make loud and clear is behavior that is threatening and capitalizing on the fear of others will not be tolerated in Seminole County,” said Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma during a Thursday news conference.

“Although we believe many of these threats of violence to be non-credible and perpetuated for the purpose of disrupting learning, we take these threats very seriously, will fully investigate each one and are committed to ensuring the safety and security of your children while they are on our campus,” school officials said Wednesday in a letter to students’ parents.

The girl faces charges of threatening to discharge a destructive device and booked into the Juvenile Assessment Center.

Luke Bryan delivers an emotional version of his most poignant song yet

Luke’s tour stopped in Evansville, Indiana, on Feb. 17 and a fan, Justin Newton, captured and posted this video of Luke singing the poignant tune to a packed crowd. This moment is so special on his new tour. We’re used to Luke jumping off of trucks with pyrotechnics in the background and shakin’ his tush like it ain’t no thing, but that’s not what this song is about. This song is reverent in its own way. Despite its gentle groove and melody, the lyrics are serious, honest and earnest. Listen to them, take them in and take them to heart, because this is the most heartfelt song we’ve heard in a long time. And Luke takes it seriously in the show by strapping on his guitar and standing center stage to sing it from his heart to yours. Lyrics like “I believe we gotta forgive and make amends / ‘Cause nobody gets a second chance to make new old friends” and “I believe you love who you love / Ain’t nothing you should ever be ashamed of” cut right to the heart of the issues we are facing as a society and culture right now. Issues that can be solved with one thing: more love. We won’t lie, we get choked up on other lines, too like, “I believe that most mamas oughta qualify for sainthood” and “Kids oughta stay kids as long as they can / Turn off the screen, go climb a tree get dirt on their hands.” Goodness gracious, the memories these lines bring back! And the final lines drive the point home: “I believe this world ain’t half as bad as it looks / I believe most people are good.” We couldn’t agree more, Luke. Thank you for giving this song to the world. Of course, there are loads of rump-shakin’, earth-quakin’ moments in the show too. It is Luke, after all. But he has a tender soul and such a heart for people that makes it extra special when he delivers this particular tune to his audiences

Brett Young Celebrates His Three #1 Singles

Three No. 1 singles from a debut album is certainly something to celebrate. In fact, that’s exactly what Brett Young did this week, throwing a party at Nashville Underground to fete the success of “In Case You Didn’t Know,” “Sleep Without You,” and “Like I Loved You.” “I don’t ever want to get to the point where I expect all of them to go No. 1,” he told The Tennessean. “But I kind of do. I moved here because I wanted to write songs … and the best songwriters are here. I literally look back at how it was only four years ago, and I can’t believe it.”

Chicago TV Station Confuses PyeongChang with PF Chang

A TV station in Chicago accidentally confused Pyeongchang (the host of the 2018 Winter Olympics) and P.F. Chang’s (the Asian-themed chain restaurant) in a news graphic over the weekend. A spokesperson for WLS-TV has since apologized and told the  Chicago Tribune that the graphic was intended to be used in a satirical sports broadcast that aired Friday. Twitter users were quick to mock the station for its gaffe. “Hey, this mistake could happen to… PRACTICALLY NO ONE,” one tweeted. Another joked, “If the Olympics were held at P.F. Chang’s, I’d be a gold medalist.” P.F. Chang’s also got in on the fun by tweeting, “Contrary to this broadcast, we’re not hosting the games.”

Reasons NOT To Get Married On Valentines Day

How romantic to get married on the “most romantic day of the year”. Valentines day is loved and hated equally all over America. There’s no in-between… either you love the day of love, or the thought of it makes you vomit. Either way, DON’T get married on that day. There are multiple reasons why, like EVERYONE and their mothers would be out on your anniversary every year, but the doozy reason is this right here… according to a new study out of Australia, couples who get married on Valentine’s Day are 37% more likely to wind up getting divorced.  And usually, it happens pretty quickly . . . they’re 45% less likely than other couples to make it to three years.

The researchers think it’s because a lot of people rush into Valentine’s weddings . . . quote, “the chance to marry on a special date could . . . lead to quicker and lower quality marriage commitments.”

Dierks Bentley & Luke Bryan Reportedly Out as ACMs Co-Hosts

Dierks Bentley and Luke Bryan are apparently out as Academy of Country Music Awards co-hosts. During Bentley’s CRS keynote speech on Monday, the country star quipped that the pair “got fired this year. That’s over. Is that not public knowledge? I’d assumed it is.” The Boot reports that an ACM rep confirmed the departures and noted that the new hosts (or host) will be revealed in the coming weeks. Still, Bentley appears to have no hard feelings over losing the gig, which he’s done with Bryan for the last two years. “It’s hard not to have fun with Luke, and the ACMs are great,” Bentley says. “The ACMs have been so good to me.”

A Major Way To Increase Getting Hired After An Interview

There are so many things that people do to prepare for an interview. They spend hours making sure their resumé looks perfect and reading articles on how to best answer interview questions, how to dress for the job, how to impress the interviewer or the boss.  But there’s also one very simple thing you should do AFTER an interview to increase your chances of landing a job . . .

A recent survey asked more than 300 HR managers if getting a follow-up, thank-you note from someone increases their chances of getting hired.

And 80 PERCENT said yes.  But they only get them from 24% of the people they interview, which is down from 51% ten years ago.

It doesn’t have to be a long note.  Just a few lines to thank them for taking the time to meet with you is fine.

It helps because it makes you stand out . . . makes you look professional . . . shows them you pay attention to detail . . . and shows them you’re enthusiastic.

Most hiring managers said email is the best way to do it.  About half said they don’t like getting phone calls.  And definitely, don’t text them.  95% said following up with a text message is unprofessional.

Chase Rice Having “Snow” Fun At All…

Luke Bryan just shared some exciting news with his wound-up kids

There’s nothing like the threat of a heavy snow to get kids all excited about possibly missing school. When the good news finally comes that classes have been canceled, it’s quite a euphoric feeling for the little ones. Luke Bryan knows that very well, so he decided to film his boys and a few of their pals when he and wife Caroline told them they’d be getting a snow day.

We’re guessing Luke’s house was full of boys since the kids already had Monday off from school because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday. Even though the sun had set on their playtime, the boys were still amped up as Luke and Caroline tried to get them all to sit down for the big announcement.

Dierks Bentley Announces New Album, The Mountain

Dierks Bentley fans, rejoice! On Wednesday, the hitmaker announced the release of his ninth album, The Mountain. In a new radio interview, Bentley revealed that he and his co-writers trekked out to Telluride, Colorado, to make the record, which gave it the “western feel” he wanted. “What I said to the musicians was, ’Look around you. Look at the mountains,’” he says. “’I can’t verbalize this. Just go for a hike, take the gondola, get some coffee, walk around town, take in the vibe of this location. That’s what I need you to make the record sound like.’” Bentley also premiered a snippet of a new song, that indeed feels like big-sky, old-school country.  The Mountain is due out in later 2018.
